Allison made a really cute project for the Southern Inkerbelles Swap a few weeks ago.  She did a great job! It's a grape Icee in a little wrapped card!  You can even see the new banner framelits that I don't have yet :)

More Club Cards.

I thought this one was a good CAS. Clean and Simple.  I saw this on Stampin Connection.  You stamp the big blossom from Betsy's Blossom set and then punch it out with the blossom punch.  Fun idea!  These are also 2 new colors from the InColor family.  Gumball Green and Summer Starfruit.

More Home Decor

When we moved, I was very excited to get a stamp room all to myself.  I wanted to make sure the walls were full and very pretty!  Here is what I put on one wall.

I've always wanted to just frame 12x12 DSP.  This was my chance!  I found these frames at Michael's for $3 each and then the chipboard letters from Hobby Lobby.  Just covered them in DSP and painted the top with Mod Podge!   Then put them on a little shelf.  My 2 year old likes to come in and move the letters around :)  It's always fun to see what she comes up with!

Christmas In July

Do you even like that saying?  It's very overused, but in my case, appropriate.

Announcing my first Christmas Card Class 

of the season!

This is the first Christmas Class of the year!  We will make 3 each of 4 designs. 

The club will meet on the 3rd Saturday of each month at 2pm.  You will receive a punch card.  If you fill your card, you will get a free stamp set in December.  The cost is $25 each month.  

Because of preordering this month, I don't have a preview of cards for you this time.  I will every other time.

RSVP for this class will be Friday the 13th by noon.  You may reply to this post if you'd like to come.

I hope you are excited about the possibility of getting your cards made early this year! 

Bird on a Window Sill

I always get so excited when I find that perfect card.  For me, that is something that is simple, but very elegant.  I have a very hard time coming up with that combination so I get very happy when I find one.  See what I found?

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Curly Cute
Paper: Night of Navy, White
Tools: Bird Builder punch, 1", 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" square punches
Accessories: jumbo pearl and dimensional


Just a hint: To make the window, punch a 1" square from your cardstock and then center that square hole inside your 1-1/4" square punch to make a frame.  Turn your punches around so you can see the hole and where you are punching :)

Happy Birthday Momma!!

Ya know...I'm 35 years old and I still love my mama more everyday!  I hope you all have a mother as wonderful as I do!  Today is her birthday and she has just had back surgery and I know is probably in some pain on her big day.  That stinks!  So, Mama, here is a preview of one of the cards I'll be sending you in your birthday package :)  I love you!!  Even though this isn't a birthday card, the amount of gratitude I feel for you is overwhelming and I appreciate you so much!  (I hope she isn't on too many drugs that she forgets to read my blog today :)

I love this card!  It's called a flipit framelit card and I am seeing it everywhere.  I had to try it out and demo it for stamp club last week.  It swivels back and forth on a 1" strip.  Here is what it looks like when you open it.

Kinda hard to tell in the picture.  This isn't a card you are going to write a novel on, but there is room for a short sentiment.  Because I don't feel like I need to reinvent the wheel, here is a video tutorial on how to make it.

Room Decor

So, most of you know we have been in our new house for 2 months now.  Just now feeling like I can slow down on feeling like I have to have every inch of the house decorated.....ALL EXCEPT my daughter's room!  For some reason, I love all things little girl and needed to cover every wall in her room.  So, this is what I came up with!

I missed the boat in ordering sheets of vinyl from Stampin' Up! to make these, but I did find a roll of it that Cricut sells at Michael's.  Then I just cut a whole bunch out with my big shot and the beautiful butterflies die. It was super easy and very cheap since I already had all the tools!  I think this masterpiece costed me $5!  That's a bill the husband won't frown at :)  Then of course you have already seen the rosette I made for her using our designer rosette die.

Then I wanted to do some paper butterflies and needed to have something to put all her hairbows on.  So, I found this little fence at Hobby Lobby and hot-glued ribbon hanging from it.  Then I added some paper flowers and butterflies.

Pretty fun, huh?  Here are the close ups :)

 I ran espresso through the big shot with the beautiful butterflies die, then embossed them with the elegant lines embossing folder.  Put them together with glue dots and fluffed up the wings.

Here is one of my favorite flowers to make.  This is pink pirouette paper punched out with the blossoms punch and embossed with vintage wallpaper embossing folder.  There are 4 flowers crinkled and layered together.  Then I used one of our new Vintage Faceted Designer buttons with some limeade baker's twine and glue dotted it to the fence.



This was a very fun project for me!  I love having all this stuff at my fingertips so I can make things as they come up in my crazy head :)  Have a great day!
