Bow Video Tutorial

The paper bows on the back of the Holiday Mini are all the rage right now.  I showed club last month how to make one of them, but I found Frenchie's video on one more too.  Enjoy!!

Non-Big Shot Card

Had to take a break from Christmas.  Here is a card I showed at club.  I have seen so many samples made with this one.  Be looking for others using this card!  I got this one from Mary Fish.  It's very rare that I make a card w/o the Big Shot, but here is one of those unique posts for those of you who don't have it.  (You still need it though :)

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Pleasant Poppies, Curly Cute
Paper: Black, Pool Party, White, vellum paper
Ink: stazon black
Accessories: Pool Party ruffled ribbon

Christmas Card #4

Here is my favorite.  I love quick and elegant.
Supplies:
Ink: Gumball Green
Stamp Set: Embellished Events, Scentsational Season
Paper: White, Silver glitter paper (but ended up using red on the final card)
Tools: Big Shot, Holiday Collection framelits
Accessories: dazzling details (used the cobbler one on the final card)

Christmas Card #3

So, I like the new ink pads a lot, but it is taking a little time to get used to.  I have found when I do a sponging project in a class situation, it completely gets dried out.  I'll have to start collecting the reinkers too. Even they work differently.  Very juicy so don't use as much as you did with the old formula.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Evergreen
Ink: Always Artichoke, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Tools: Big Shot, square lattice embossing folder, label framelits
Accessories: stampin sponges, dotto respositionable adhesive and dimensionals

So, how'd I do it?  Pick the frame you want to be the center image of your card.  Put that aside.  Then, pick the frame 1 smaller and cut out the image.  Then, use the larger one on the outside of that to create a frame.  Lay it on top the card piece and sponge going from in to out.  That probably didn't make sense.  Let me know if you need clarification.  Then I sponged around the outside.

Christmas Card #2

Here is a card you might recognize.  I did this same thing but made the ornament a shaker card.  That would be too time consuming for club so I dumbed it down a bit :)

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Lovely as a Tree, Keepsake ornaments, More Merry Messages
Ink: Real Red, Garden Green (at the club, we actually used cherry cobbler and old olive.  I liked it better), black marker
Paper: white
Tools: Big Shot, ornament keepsake framelits
Accessories: dimensionals

Christmas Card Club Cards

We had a great time at my 2nd Christmas Card Club yesterday!  I really tried to make the cards a little easier than last month and I think I succeeded!!  I love it that everyone remembered to bring their frequent stamper cards!!  Very exciting!  This week I'll be sharing all the cards we made.  My bad though....too many big shot projects and not enough big shots!!  I'll do better next month.

I have had this card in my email since I got it last year (after christmas) from Inking Idaho!  I loved this card so much and couldn't wait to share it with my gals this month!  See Becky's blog for more info.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Tiny Tags
Ink: Gumball Green
Paper: Very Vanilla, Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Be of good cheer DSP, red glitter paper
Tools: Big Shot, chevron embossing folder, top note die, 1/2, 3/4" circle punches, ornament punch, jewelry punch
Accessories: vanilla 1/8" ribbon, glue dots

August Promotions!!

In addition to the Holiday Mini Catalog going live today, there is a recruiting promotion too!  Check it out by clicking on the picture.

Also for my Digital Gals!!  Click on it!

Holiday Catalog is now LIVE!!

You have all been waiting for it.  Hopefully you all have a copy of the holiday catalog in your hot little hands. If not, just click on the picture to the right.  You may have noticed that the main catalog is a little lighter this year.  They did that to make room for all the incredible products they are bringing to life in this newly released catalog!  My favorite stamp is on the very first page.  The Ornament Keepsakes and matching framelits!  No more hand cutting ornaments on Christmas Cards.  Another bonus in this catalog is the discount SU! is offering when you buy both the set and the framelits!  Yeah..b/c you almost have to have both of them!  Might as well get them discounted a bit :)  Here is the card I showed stamp club last week and those who come to my next Christmas Card Club Class will get a dumbed down, but no less cute, version of this!

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Ornament Keepsakes, Lovely as a Tree, More Merry Messages
Ink: Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler
Paper: White, window sheet
Tools: Big Shot, Holiday Ornaments Framelits, 1-3/8" circle punch, peppermint scented embossing powder, heat tool
Accessories: Shaker frames, chunky glitter

Since we don't have craft ink anymore, I suspected that since the new ink is wetter than the old classic ink, it might emboss.  Well, it does, but you have to be FAST!!!  You have to be immediately ready with that powder and it's still not as good, but you should try it!  I used the peppermint powder and it smelled so good!

Here is a video with another cute idea and details on how to use our shaker frames.
