Give me a "H"

I LOVE Halloween and I LOVE punch art!  Last year, I created a kit for my customers to make a 6x6 desktop calendar.  I designed each month using some fun punch art.  Well, unfortunately, Stampin' Up! doesn't sell that calendar anymore (my mom is crying) so I thought I would try something new!

I would like for this project to be a class done either late Sept or Early October.  I'm only going to show 1 letter a day so you'll have to keep coming back until the whole project is revealed :)

If there isn't enough interest in doing this as a class, I'd like to sell this as a kit.  I would cut and punch everything you would need to create this project at home.  You would ONLY have to supply the frame.  Anyway, be thinking about it :)  All projects for the next week will be done on a 4x6 piece of Frightful Sight DSP.  Here is today's letter.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Wicked Cool
Paper: Basic Black, Whisper White, Basic Gray, So Saffron, Early Espresso, Frightful Sight DSP
Ink: Basic Black, Early Espresso marker, basic black marker
Tools: Big Shot, Serif Essentials Alphabet dies, scallop border punch, owl punch, Scallop circle punch

PS...Can you see the owl in the broom?

Stampin' Up! Research and Developement

Hey Ladies.  The rsvp for the Pennant Punch class was Friday afternoon.  I am doing a little research to find out what kind of projects each of you wants to do.  I thought this was the cutest class, but only 2 people signed up for it.  That's ok.  I just wanted to figure out what kind of projects make you tick so I can offer them to you :)  I have inserted a poll at the upper right corner of my blog.  Would you take a brief second and answer the question for me?  It's kinda hard to see the question, but it says, "Why aren't you coming to the Pennant Punch Class?"

Please help me learn how I can make my classes more appealing to you :)  I'm pretty sure it's anonymous, but no one is going to hurt my feelings.  If you receive my blog and you aren't in town, will you leave me a little comment about the types of classes you enjoy the most?

Can't wait for Button Buddies tomorrow night!

My Button Buddies class is tonight and I am so excited!  We'll be making 10 cards with matching envelopes, a mini pizza box to store them in and you will take home a package of 72 buttons.  This is going to be great!  The thing I am most excited about is teaching you how to use our new Simply Scored.  Can't share a picture of it until Sept 1st so those of you coming will get a sneak peek!

If you are in my club, don't forget to bring your card to get your 10% cash back!

Just a few more days until the BUY 3 GET1 DSP promotion is over.  I am so glad to have a nice stash of Designer Paper so I have it when I see something I HAVE to case! Click here to see this promotion.

Starting Monday I'll be sharing my new Halloween framed art with you!  I'd like to do a class with this.  Will you leave a comment telling me if you'd be interested or not?

Package Bows

I am already thinking of Christmas packaging to do for future classes.  I was just playing around and wanted to learn how to make these beautiful bows for presents.  This is the sturdiest bow you have ever seen.  If you'd like to learn how to make it yourself, go here.

Personalized Lunch Box Class

I am so excited to share this project with you.  This class will be offered at The Play Place USA on Tuesday Sept 13th from 6-8pm.  I'll send out an evite closer to the time, but I did want to get you excited about it.  I made this for my son's best friend, Morgan.  She saw it yesterday and said, "That's ADORABLE, Ms Beth!".   Love it when my work is appreciated :)  She will use this as her lunchbox on her first day of Kindergarten.  It probably won't fit in her bookbag, but WHY would you want to put something this cute in a bag?  It's modge podged so all the paper is protected and any spills would wipe right up.  Even if your child isn't in school yet, you know they would love to have this can with their name on it.  I'll be working on a little boy version of this. I feel that might be a little more difficult, but my son HAS to have one!
Here's the top view.  Do you notice our new ruffled ribbon tied neatly in a bow on each side.  It's the extras that make something special :)
But did you REALLY notice our new In Color designer brads?  They fit perfectly around the bottom of the can.

Here is the link to see the invitation for this class!!!

Supplies:
Paper: Berry Blossoms DSP, Lucky Limeade, whisper white, and early espresso cardstock
Ribbon: Lucky Limeade 3/8" ruffled ribbon
Accessories: In Color Designer printed brads, modge podge, sponge brush
Tools: Big Shot, Tasteful Trim Die, alphabet simple letters die

LOVE RAKs....Random Acts of Kindness

We have just invited a new orphan into our Southern Inkerbelles Family.  Her upline is in the mid-west somewhere so we are here to be her Alabama Family.    She did the sweetest thing for me.   DON'T BLINK!
Now you see it,
Now, you don't
She gave me a Big Shot Cozy!!!  Isn't that the cutest think you have ever seen?  I don't think she made it b/c it has a tag on the inside, but wouldn't this be a fun project!!  I just wish I could put my Big Shot away long enough to cover it with its new outfit :)   Thanks, Carla!!!

I didn't make the snowman, the rattle or the snail, but they are just as cute :)  Here is the full set.  Aren't these adorable?

First Official Teacher Gift of the Year!

One of the things I am looking forward to most about my oldest child starting Kindergarten is making gifts for his teacher.  She is going to think I am a total spaz...but I don't care.  Maybe I can get her to come stamp with me!

Today is the first day of school and here is my first teacher gift of the year!

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Raining Flowers, Grateful Greetings
Ink: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy
Tools: Heat gun
Accessories: Tissue Paper, Wax Paper, basic pearls
candle and holder from Dollar Tree

$2 gift!!!

I am so stinkin' proud of this little candle.  Have you ever tried to stamp on a candle?  It's super easy.  I will do a video tutorial later this week.  This technique I did today was a risk.  I have never 2-step stamped on a candle, but it did beautifully!

YUM....Pear Espresso Cake

I have had a BLAST making this paper cake out of Pear Pizzazz and Early Espresso Cardstock.  So now you understand my title today :)

There is a purpose to this cake though.  This is what I call a "book to look" cake.  I will be bringing this tempting dessert to all my workshops this fall.  If you are interested in booking a party with me that night, you will get a slice of my cake.  The inside has a yummy treat in it AND...a coupon for free product you can redeem the night of your workshop.  Would you like to see the inside of the cake after I cut it?
Can you see the yummy layers of chocolate I baked inside that Pear Cake?  I am almost sick from how much I have eaten today.  But, I did save enough for you guys when you book your next workshop.

Here is the top view.  It almost looks like cheesecake.  MY FAVORITE!!  The "icing" flower in the middle has to be my favorite :)  Hope you come hungry to the next workshop!!

Supplies:
Piece-a-cake Template:  Click here
Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Early Epresso
Ribbon: Pear Pizzazz 1/2" stitched-poly ribbon
Tools: Itty Bitty Punch pack, 2-3/8" scallop punch, Big Shot, square lattice embossing folder, fun flowers bigz die (if you can only buy 1 die, this is the one to get!), mat pack, paper piercer
Accessories: silver brad, basic pearls (smallest one)

If you are a SU! demo, this pattern is found in our pattern library.  It's the #44 box :)
