SO, I love making beautiful packaging when I go to any kind of shower.  I am ruthless.  Always looking for a new customer and then in turn, a friend!  I stayed up for an hour or so making hairbows for my friend's new baby girl to be.  Then, I made this to put them in!

Ink: versamark and our new vanilla scented embossing powder

New Neighbor

After 3.5 years, a family has finally moved into the house next door to us.  I have been praying for kids and a sweet mother to be my friend!  Prayer was answered a few weeks ago and I couldn't wait to make something for her.
Part of it was selfish.  I have been wanting to try the muffin batter in the plastic canister.  Do you know what I am talking about?  Well, it only makes 6 big muffins so I had to go mini.  And, if you are like me, I have at least a dozen vases from over the years stacking up in my pantry.  So, I dumped all the muffins in there, added some soft suede striped ribbon and this AWESOME new flower I learned how to make!  Click here for the tutorial! I made mine in Riding Hood Red and sprayed it with our champagne smooch spritz.  Very pretty!  Then I stamped "hi" and punched it out with the little jewelry tag and used a dimensional to stick it right to the vase.  She was so appreciative and that's all I ask!!
Here are some other views.

Recycle those Vases for someone who'll appreciate it :)  YUM!!!!

So proud :)

Have you ever spent hours on something and then pat yourself on the back?  I have had this gorgeous Southern Living flower pot trio for years.  It matches my everyday dishes and everything else in my kitchen.  But, I never knew what to put in them.  Flowers you say?  Um...nope.  I'd kill them right away.  So, when I was at Michael's the other day, I saw a Styrofoam ball and the rest is history.  PAPER ROSES!!  Can't kill those, right?  right???

This was made using our 2.5" circle punch.  Cut each into a spiral and roll around a dowel or something thin.  Here is a link for a petal roller and tutorial.  If I had had one of these, my flowers would look more round and not jagged!  But, I was not going to wait for shipping!  I wanted this project done!  Here is the top view.
And the view up close in the vase.
And the completed project!  My kitchen looks so cool with this little decor element sitting in the corner.
Happy Rolling!

More cupcakes

So here, is my last little cupcake enclosure card for Gigi's.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Early Espresso, White, So Saffron, red glitter paper and vellum paper
Tools: Cupcake Punch
Ink: Espresso
Accessories: dimensionals

You don't notice it at first, but I have vellum on top of the yellow cupcake part. I was trying to make it look like a paper cupcake holder.  It was too hard to see and even vellum adhesive showed through.

My mom's Valentine

There is no one I'd rather impress more than my loving Mother!  I spent a lot of time trying to come up with something special for her.  I think it was a swing and a miss, but what I do know is my mom will think it's the greatest thing ever just b/c I'm her baby :)  Happy Valentine's Day, Mom!

Supplies:
Stamp Set: PS I love you, Bordering on Romance
Paper: Twitterpated DSP, White, Island Indigo, Riding Hood Red, Blushing Bride
Ink: Island Indigo
Tools: Modern label punch, petal card punch, crop-a-dile, corner rounder, hearts embosslit, big shot, perfect polka dot embossing folder, 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" circle punch
Accessories: dimensionals, jumbo eyelets, pool party seam binding, blushing bride pleated ribbon, sticky strip

Here is the link to the tutorial for this card.  It's called a Free Standing Card.  You should peek around on Splitcoast.  You will learn so much in their tutorial index.  Here is the side view.
The part sticking up, slides down into the base so it will go in a standard size envelope.  The ribbon at the top will have to be folded over though.
I couldn't get it to lie completely flat, but it does fit in the envelope.  Here is what I did to the back of the envelope.  Always a little extra for mom :)
If you have used our edgelits, you might be having a problem keeping them still as you roll it through.  I put some repositionable dotto adhesive right on the envelope and it stayed perfectly. I have seen others use masking tape.  Good Luck!  I'm off to Ruth's Chris to celebrate my 11th Vtine's Day with my honey :)

Happy Valentine's Day!

More cupcakes

I did offer Gigi's a less impressive option for their enclosure cards...obviously they picked up on that too :)

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Tools: Cupcake Punch
Paper: red glitter paper (doesn't shed)
Ink: Black

Doesn't get much easier than that.  Maybe a business isn't impressed with this little ditty, but if you made a few of these, you would always have a little card for a quick gift.  I find myself so many times trying to make an impressive card 30 mins before a party.  They would love these just as much :)

Be careful what you ask for...

Well, I'm constantly looking for a way to expand my business.  We have a gourmet cupcake shop right down the street called Gigi's Cupcakes.  You've never had better treats!

As I was thinking about it, I realized we had a cute cupcake punch that I actually didn't even own.  I thought I could make some enclosure cards and gift card holders for their customers.  I quickly borrowed the punch from my downline and got to town!  The next morning I brought in some samples.  They seemed lukewarm about the idea.

I waited a month and then followed up with them.  Not only were they interested, but they ordered 300 of them from me to put in all 4 stores around the state :)  Ok, you would think that would be awesome, but they wanted them in 4 days.  I didn't even have enough supplies to do that many.

Anyway, thanks to expedited shipping (paid by the cupcake people), I was able to get my stuff quickly and deliver on time.  This is the one they ordered.
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Pretty in Pink, White, Espresso, red glitter paper
Ink: Espresso
Tools: Scallop trim border punch and coordinating corner punch, cupcake punch
Accessories: dimensional, mini envelopes

Card measures 3x3"

This was Feb 2nd and they wanted that many for Valentine's Day.  I totally panicked b/c using the scallop trim border and coordinating corner punch is fun, but NOT 200 times :)  Luckily my downline, Kimmie, came to my rescue.  She has a cricut (shhhhhh...) and was able to cut out a scalloped border for me in one night!  She literally saved me hours!  THANKS KIMMIE!!!

The best part is they want to continually order with me with various greetings on them.  I'll be ready for them next time!  So, if you have ideas on how you can share your talent with your town...all you have to do is ask!  Try local florists, edible arrangment stores and other delivery businesses.  GOOD LUCK!

I'll share my other examples over the next few days.

Mini Magazine Holder Tutorial

I wanted to make some kind of 3D project to give away as my door prize at Stamp Club.  I have found a blogger who takes all the work out of researching stamp ideas.  Paper Punch Addiction by Kim Score is fabulous!  She goes out there and finds all the best stuff and posts several on her blog a day.  I basically blog hop everyday with her and she finds the neatest stuff!

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Fresh Vintage (SAB)
Paper: Poppy Parade, Pool Party, Soft Suede, Vanilla
Ink: Soft Suede, Calypso Coral
Tools: scallop ribbon border punch, Blossom bouquet triple layer punch
Accessories: everyday enchantment brad bundle(SAB)

Do you love it!?  I think that is the cutest thing ever!  This has been seen on lots of different blogs, but I found it on Kards By Kadie.  Click here for the tutorial.

It fits these 3x3 cards perfectly.  AAAHHHH so cute!

So, just made 4 little cards using another SAB set, Sprinkled Expressions.  Here's another shot!
Didn't want you to miss the bow :)

Icky Hearts

Well, here is where I reverted back to my crazy need to have as much stuff on a card as possible.  I was worried that my advanced stampers were going to be bored with my CAS cards.  So, thanks for this Mary Fish.  I cased her card, but changed the colors.
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Word Play
Paper: White, Soft Suede, Peach Parfait, Poppy Parade, Everyday Enchantment DSP (SAB)
Ink: Soft Suede
Tools: Big Shot, Striped embossing Folder (free during SAB), hearts framelits, heart punch, edgelits
Accessories: everyday enchantment brads (SAB), vanilla satin ribbon

I just love this card.  There is so much going on!  This card says "look what all you can get during SAB?!"

Designer Cuts

Seriously, there are several products in our catalogs that just don't get noticed!  I'm one who wouldn't notice these.  But, I was trying to demo products that could be used by all different levels of stampers.  These are perfect!  I cased this card directly from the occasions mini catalog.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: P.S. I love you

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Designer Cuts
Tools: Big Shot, Heart Framelits (cut out one and pasted it on the inside of the card)
Accessories: twitterpated buttons and Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine

As you can see, I used our new smooch spritz.  I think most people loved it.  It's definitely a product that needs to be played with so you get a handle on how far away to spray, etc.  This was a lot of fun!
