Unexpected Appreciation!

My downline has really exploded in the last 2 months and I am so appreciative!  I feel like after 9.5 years, my business is really starting to grow!  This month I hit $100,000 in career sales.  I did a private pat on the back and resumed business as usual.  Then I was checking some reports and saw a reward bonus deposited into my checking account!  $1000!!!!  I thought I was going to faint!  I didn't even know about that so it made my day!  It's just like putting your winter coat on for the first time and finding a $20 bill in the pocket!!  Except this was $1000!!!  Thank you SU!  I know most of the demos I follow get that kind of money all the time, but finally I was rewarded for my efforts and I am psyched!!!  So, I just wanted to share that mostly with my downline to let them know to keep working hard and your efforts will be rewarded!  I have put my time in for sure!  My husband would agree.   Well, onto what I really wanted to share with you :)

Are you intrigued by this new photopolymer stuff?  It is by far the best kind of stamp we sell. If I could trade all my stamps for this kind, I would in a heartbeat.  They are awesome!  You'll notice we don't have any photopolymer stamps in our main catalog.  SU! doesn't want to saturate our inventory until they find out if they will sell.  So, we will come out with new ones periodically.  I read this on the SU! blog:

Change is Good!
Much like in fashion and home décor, trends in paper crafting are changing all of the time. We often see trends from one area cross over into the other.
I am excited to see change! As creative artists, we tend to craft in our own unique style, but at the same time, we can also be inspired by current trends. By using new and fresh products, we are constantly growing as artists. I love paper crafting and I love following the current trends. Change is good and new products are good!

I share that with you b/c the photopolymer stamps are quite different than any others we sell.  I challenge you to try this new addition to our product line.  If you'd like to try it, we have an online class you can download.  You can check it out here.  I purchased this bundle and made lots of beautiful, yet out of my usual box, cards.

Try it out!!

Looking for a specific stamp?

Stampin' Up! just wound up their 25th anniversary convention last week and there are always new products revealed during it.  I am so sad I couldn't go this year.  Next year is my 10th anniversary and I will be going even if I have to sell my children :)

Have you ever wanted a stamp but couldn't find the perfect image? Maybe one of your customers has a special family logo or a sketch she'd like to have as a stamp. Well now she can! Undefined is Stampin' Up!'s new stamp carving product line. You define the rubber stamp any way you want.
When you carve your very own stamp, you have will have an entirely new and different creative experience. And when you're finished, you will have created a one-of-a-kind stamp!
How exactly do you carve a stamp? Watch the video for a tutorial.

Cyber Retreat

A few months ago I participated in a cyber stamp retreat with Erin Gonzales at handstampedstyle.com.  It was so fun and I was able to make all these things in the comfort of my stamp room.  She said she was going to do another one so when that happens, I can have locals over and we can make the stuff together.  I'm trying to find out when her next one is.

In the meantime, I'll share what I made.  Since this was a paid retreat, I can't share details with you.  But, maybe this will spark some inventive designs.

This is a cute little album.

You can pull the pages out of the little sleeves.

Have a heart

A very simple card.  I used the paper piercer and the heart piercer template to make the image and then covered the holes with rhinestones.

New Catalog Information

Happy 4th!!

Catalog Notes & Corrections

(TMI, but you'll probably be interested in at least a few of these)

There are a few things to be aware of with the new catalog.
1)  You can go to Show Me How (stampinup.com/showmehow) for some great videos on several of the new products in the new catalog and the new catalog itself!  Be sure to check these videos out!

2)  Don't miss the Bundles available for several stamp sets with coordinating punches or Big Shot accessories.  These Bundles save you 15%!
  • Chalk Talk Bundle, page 12
  • Label Love Bundle, page 32
  • Backyard Basics Bundle, page 79
  • Wildflower Meadow Bundle, page 83
  • Flower Shop Bundle, page 95
  • Beautifully Baroque Bundle, page 113
  • Mosaic Madness Bundle, page 123
  • Six-Sided Sampler Bundle, page 125
3) The World Map background stamp (item # 130345 for Clear and item # 130342 for Wood) on page 23 is NOT available for order at this time.  The artwork used on this stamp was taken directly from a historical map in the Library of Congress.  Unfortunately, the company did not notice the use of a word on the map that some people might find offensive.  They are updating the stamp to remove this one word.  The rest of the design will stay the same.  The corrected stamp should be available sometime in June.  I will let you know once this stamp is available for ordering.

4)  Personalized stamps on page 135 are non-refundable.

5)  The Bracket Stamp personalized stamp with 5 lines (item # 131138) is NOT available for order at this time.  It should be available soon.  I will let you know when it is available for ordering.  The other versions of this personalized stamp with 1 to 4 lines are available now.

6)  The item number and price for the Neutrals Collection Classic Stampin' Pads on page 145 is incorrect.  The correct item number is 131183.  The correct price is $39.95.

7)  The item number and price for the Neutrals Collection Classic Stampin' Ink Refills on page 145 is also incorrect.  The correct item number is 131168.  The correct price is $19.95.

8)  Don't miss the Tag a Bag Bundle and Tag a Box Bundle on page 159.  These bundles will save you 15% on some awesome gift packaging.

9)  You can listen to a recorded message from Shelli Gardner, CEO of Stampin' Up! by downloading the FREE TalkingTag App on your smartphone and scanning the code on the top of page 162.  Directions for downloading the app are also on page 162.

10)  The Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Addition (item # 129407), Small Scallop Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (item # 129410), Straight Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blades (item # 129408), and Tiny Wave Stampin' Trimmer Rotary Cutting Blade (item # 129409) on pages 176 and 177 are NOT available to be ordered at this time.  These items should become available in August.  I will let you know as soon as these items are available for ordering.

11)  The Big Shot Magnetic Platform (item # 130658) on page 184 does contain a very strong magnetic.  If you order this item, please be sure to keep it away from your computer, cell phone, credit and debit cards, and any magnetic storage devices such as computer discs, CDs, thumb drives, photo data cards, etc.  The magnet could erase data from these devices.  If you or anyone in your household has a medical condition that could be affected by magnets, you might want to reconsider purchasing the Magnetic Platform.

12)  The measurements given for the Beautiful Wings Embosslits on page 188 are incorrect.  The correct measurements are 1-7/8" x 1-5/16".

13)  The measurement given for the large doily cut out by the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits L on page 188 is incorrect.  The correct diameter for this large doily is 3-1/8".

14)  Don't miss the Clear-Block Bundles on page 196.  These bundles will save you 15%!

15)  The Stamp Index on page 206 incorrectly indicates that the ABC-123 Outline Alphabet & Numbers Set and the ABC-123 Sketch Alphabet & Numbers Set are only available in Wood-Mount.  Both of these sets are actually only available in Clear-Mount.  This is correctly indicated on page 131 where these sets are pictured.

16)  In the Spanish catalog, Celebrando Creatividad, the price for the Saludos de Temporada Set on page 16 is incorrect.  The correct price for this set is $16.95.

MDS card

A few weeks ago, Drew was struggling with his hitting at the plate.  His teacher's son was the starting pitcher for the local HS and I asked him to come give Drew a few pointers to boost his confidence level.  Not only did it do that, but Drew got Most Improved Player on his team.  Thanks, Matt!  I don't have the great sport stamp set and I knew I wanted to make a baseball thank you card.  So, I went digital.  I bought the $3.95 digital set and went to town.  I even printed it out from my computer and glued it onto some cardstock.  Not my best work, but I only had about 20 mins to make it :)  Do we really think an 18 year old boy will look at this for more than a nanosecond?  Nope :)
