Dude, You're Welcome

Normally I would totally bypass our new kit made for guys, but I am so excited to say that I have 1 man in my stamp club this year.  He is very excited about SU! and very masculine too.  This kit is perfect for him.  Think about it.  It would be a great gift to get your husband for Valentine's Day!  Check this out!

Stamp Set: Feeling Sentimental
Paper: Island Indigo, Basic Gray, White

And another fun video from SU!  I'm lovin' these!

All Dressed Up

Do you remember watching the video on the pop up dress card?  Well, I have it; I made it; and it's stinkin' cute!!  Check out the decorative edges.  They slide into slits when you close up the card.  I'm amazed at the supply list.  It's actually shorter than usual.  Remember I told you how to get this set at a huge discount?

Supplies:
Stamp Set: All Dressed Up
Paper: Sycamore Street DSP (SAB), white, black
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Tools: Big Shot, Pop Up card base and dress form die, dress up framelits
Accessories: Pool Party ruffled ribbon, basic rhinestones, jumbo rhinestones

This is my poor attempt of making the front of the card.  Not too bad :)

stripes embossing folder

Here is the back.  I just used the cutout from the front and pasted it on the back.  Very Fancy :)  But, you can see how the front tabs fit in the slots.  Very cute!

Because this pop up suite is on the more expensive side, I have to think more pop up images will be added in the next catty.  Just my thought :)

Swallowtail Card Class

Swallowtail Card Class
(If you didn't get the evite, let me know)
Do you love butterflies?  If not, get on the train.  Butterflies are the new owls :)

We will make these 4 cards (maybe 1 more) and you will take this beautiful stamp home with you.

There are 2 payment options.  I used the clear swallowtail stamp, but there is a wood block option too.  If you choose the clear option you must bring your F block or you may choose to buy from me.  This is a great opportunity to get that F block.

Wood:  $25
Clear: $20
Clear with F block: $40

Want to make 2 sets?  add $10.

Last day to register is

this Wednesday the 30th by noon.

Hope you can make it.  Bring a friend and make 1 extra special project.

Remember to bring your adhesive and scissors.

Another Candle Card

I must say in my 9 years of SU!, the most beautiful card I have ever seen and then been able to make myself was the tea light candle card we made at Christmas.  I have put it away with my Christmas decorations so I can bring it out every year from now on!!  Until that next WOW card comes out.

Because I loved it so much, I thought I would try it again in the spring form.  This is what I came up with.  Not even close to the one made at Founder's Circle, but I tried :)

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Nature Walk, Seasonal Sayings
Paper: Pool Party, White, Primrose Petals Coredination paper, poetry dsp, vellum
Ink: versamark, primrose petals, pool party
Tools: Big Shot, honeycomb embossing folder, frames embossing folder, decorative label punch, heat tool, large oval punch, 1/2" circle punch, cordinations sanding system
Accessories: Primrose petals ribbon, pool party satin ribbon (SAB), dimensionals, glue dots, battery tea light

Man....that's a lot of product!

My Sister's gift.

Well, if my gift to my sister didn't get there by her birthday, I'm about to ruin the surprise.  You saw her card yesterday using the Mojo Monday Template.
inside card

Here was the final product with stamping the front and putting DSP on the flap of the envelope :)

But, the big surprise was the gift I made her.  Do you remember the Simply Adorned line of jewelry we used to sell?  Well, I guess it didn't catch on very well.  It was kinda pricey, but this charm is on clearance now.  It's 1.5"x2" and it is beautiful!  And, the price even better.  Only about $8.50.  I bought 2 so I could make matching necklaces.  I didn't take a picture of the back.  Her mom passed away 2 years ago so I put a picture of  my MIL when she was a young girl in the back.  This may not be Emily's style. Whether she wears it or not, I hope she'll save it forever so she'll always remember how much I love her.
Simply Adorned Charm 1.5X2 - by Stampin' Up!
Here's what I came up with!  See how it matches the card?  My husband asked if I was Mr. T.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Artistic Etchings, french script, family reunion, fabulous phrases
Ink: versamark, soft suede
Paper: Vanilla, soft suede, champagne glitter paper
Tools: jewlery tag punch, sponge dauber, distressing tool, heat tool, big shot, butterfly wings embosslit
Accessories: basic pearls, gold embossing powder

So, here's the culmination of it all!  I added the small simply adorned bracelet with pictures of her boys in it.  Nothing fancy, but...

One more promotion for our silver anniversary.

For our 25-year anniversary, we’re bringing back some of our favorite stamp images from the last quarter century and combining them into 12 sets, which will release—one set per month—during 2013. Even better, along with some great classic images, each “Best of” set will also include a never-before-seen image!
After all sets are released, they will all be available until March 2014 :)  Can you guess which one is new?

Happy Birthday Emily

First off, I got myself a little gift.  Do you like my new style??  I am thrilled with my new look!  Please scroll down to the bottom of the right bar to see more about the awesome girl who did this for me!!

Today is my sister, Emily's birthday.  She is my husband's sister, but I thank God that she is!  She is my best friend and I love her dearly.  SO...I made her something special.

Have you ever heard of Mojo Monday?  It's a blog that gives templates that will help your creativity start flowing.  Then, you can submit your creation to share with others.  I wanted to make an original card, but I need all the help I can get.  So I looked through til I found a template that interested me.  This is what I chose.

Then, you let your imagination go wild.  I will not lie, when I play along with these challenges, I spend hours getting it just right.  I'll use over 20 different products. Sometimes I like what I come up with and sometimes not so much.  But, fortunately for my sister, I was pleased.
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Artistic Etchings, French Script, collage curios, family reunion, fabulous phrases
Paper: Vanilla, Primrose Petals, Pretty in Pink, Poetry DSP, soft suede
Ink: Soft Suede (ink and marker), versamark
Tools: Paper piercing pack, sponge dauber, distressing tool (love it!), scallop trim border punch, heat tool, jewelry tag punch, 1" circle punch
Accessories: bottle tops, gold embossing powder, crochet ribbon, basic pearls, dimensionals, glue dots

How'd I do?  Do you see how I used the template?  I started with the center rectangle and created out.  I really hope she likes it!  Of course, I had to mail it in a bubble mailer, but she's worth it :)

Mom and Me Valentine Class

I've been wanting to do a Mom and Me class for sometime, but hadn't really found the right project.  I have now.  If you love crafts, then the Walmart Valentine just won't cut it.  Save the time that you would spend looking on Pinterest to find a fun project and let me do the work for you.

For $20, your daughter will make enough candy bags for friends or her entire class.  50 bags are included so more can be made at home.  Then she will make 10 valentines with beautiful unique envelopes for special people in her life.  In addition to these projects, she will get to take home the heart stamp and the set of 4 valentine stamps.

The last day I can order these supplies for you is the 21st so I must have rsvps by noon that day.  Extra kits can be ordered.  If you can't make it at the last minute, I will get your kit to you and you may assemble at home.  If you don't reply by the 21st, I will not be able to accommodate your daughter.

You will need to bring some double sided tape/tape runner, scissors, and a bag of vtine corn candy.

I hope you can make it.  Please pass this invite to friends.  If you are interested and you didn't get the evite, please let me know and I'll forward it on.

Paper Pumpkin

Ok, just when I was getting a little down, SU! comes through again.  I should never doubt them!  I love this new paper pumpkin kit idea.  It's something I tried to get interest in last year, but failed.  For $20/mo, SU! will send you a kit in the mail with enough supplies to make a variety of things.  Everything is precut and everything is used.  No cleanup.  Maybe you don't want to buy a bunch of products, this is awesome.  You can do monthly or just sign up to try it one month.  I'll probably have a morning class using this kit each month.  SO EXCITED!!!  Stay Tunes!

Sweep away the mundane-
your creativity carriage awaits!
I'm Paper Pumpkin . . .
I come to your door each month (a fully decked-out creativity carriage). I'll help you to escape your life with some paper fun.

Confession Time

Ok, this is the hardest time of the Stampin' Up! year for me.  As you all know, I am not comfortable creating my own projects.  I depend on the talent of my fellow demonstrators.  But, with the beginning of the spring catalog, the ideas just aren't available yet.  There are a few, but I'm struggling.  So, I am collecting product so when I DO see something I love, I'll be ready.  So for now, I don't have any samples to share.  I did share in my post Friday a place you can go on my website that has lots of ideas.  So, for the next few days, I'm going to share video tutorials on things until I can build my arsenal of ideas back up :)

Beautiful New Product!

The 1 item in the new spring catalog that blew my mind is the All Dressed Up Suite on page 32.  To had a die that makes a pop up card is wonderful.  But, then you look at the price of all the items and you find out it's almost $100.  You ask yourself, "I will never be able to afford that, but I have to have it.  What can I do?"  Well, that's easy!  You email me and say, "I'm ready to host a part at my house with my friends."  You have a party and your total is $400, you will get $65 to spend plus a half off item.  That means you get the All Dressed Up bundle plus the dress form pop 'n cuts for free.  Then you get the base die 50% off and you get the whole collection for $20!  All you had to do was invite some people to your house to have an awesome time....Doesn't seem fair does it?   So, what day is good for you?  And to wet your whistle, here is a video on this awesome new product suite!  PS...I have to think that if this product costs so much, there will be more inserts coming our way.  That's my guess :)

Have I left you wanting more?

Do you ever get disappointed when Southern Inkerbelles doesn't appear in your email one morning, but are hankering for some more ideas?  Did you know that Stampin' Up! has lots of ideas that appear on my website?  They even spell out every product used and the opportunity to purchase one or all with 1 click! Click here to see all you've been missing!!  Here is an example of what you've been missing.

Sorry so late

Like I've been saying, got drowned in the holiday before I had a chance to send out these Christmas cards.  These cannot be applied to other occasions, but in case you love them, save them til next year.  I have been known to do that :)

Are you as happy as I am not to be making Christmas cards right now?

Let it Snow?

As I said yesterday, I was whisked away from my craft world into the business of Christmas.  So, there were a few Christmas Cards I didn't get to share with you.  Of those, I picked the ones that could easily be converted to Winter Birthday cards.  It's always funny to think of snow in January when you live in Alabama.  My sister in law texted me a picture of her backyard in Cleveland.  My son immediately said, "I want to live there."  Piles of snow...
Supplies:
Stamp Set: More Merry Messages, Bold Snowflake (retired on the 2nd)
Paper: Island Indigo, Pool Party, White
Ink: Pool Party, Island Indigo
Tools: blossom punch
Accessories: jumbo pearls, dimensionals

I'm sorry if you didn't get a chance to get this single stamp.  It's awesome and coordinates with our blossom punch.  Instead of the Merry Message, you could easily put any greeting on your card.  Love it!!  Not sure I would send it as a bday card in the south, but up north, knock yourselves out!
