More Butterflies

Well, I didn't realize how much I loved butterflies on my cards.  Here is today's card.

 Card Tips:
On all my cards this week, I use a technique called Stamping Off.  Ink up your stamps with black and then stamp it once on a scrap piece of paper first and then stamp on your card without reinking.  That will soften the ink.  I think it removes the harshness of the black ink.  I like this technique especially when I am going to do some watercoloring.
I also used a lighter on the ends of my ribbon so they wouldn't fray. I have been doing that more lately since I started making bows for my little baby girl.  Is it crazy to say I like fire? :)

Check here for my bow tying video tutorial.

The background was colored using our ink pads.  When your pad is closed, squeeze it a few times.  That will get ink on the lid of your pad.  Take your aquapainter or blender pen and dip it in the ink and color directly on the paper.  I tried it using our watercolor paper and it was so much prettier.  Give it a try!!

I know this blow up is kinda fuzzy, but I wanted you to see that I have dimension here.  I stamped off with black ink first and then did the same on a scrap piece.  I cut out just the wings from the scrap piece and put them on the main card with dimensionals.  When I first colored the butterfly, I colored the insect part.  Just make sure you notice where the body stops and the wings begin.
