MDS Scout Swatchbook

I have been having so much fun making MDS swatchbooks this summer.  During the sale, these books were only $7.50.  What a steal!  Now they are just $10...still a steal!  As I have been learning more about the software, I can do even cooler things.  Here is one page from the book I made for my son's scout den to remember their first year of scouting.

The boys were so excited to get these little books and understandably so :)  This little book comes with 26 pages and it fits very nicely in a purse (gmas needing brag books :).

Have you tried MDS yet?  It's so easy and fun!  Here is another awesome video from the home office showing all the cool things you can do with this software.  Now, the video is very fast and you won't understand what all they are doing b/c you haven't had the training yet.  Don't get overwhelmed.  It's just like learning anything new.  I'll start digital training classed this fall.  Just enjoy this video for what it is...a sneak peek into all this software can do!

June Paper Pumpkin

Just had a great class with some children and adults using the June Paper Pumpkin.  They were all happy with their surprise project.  The kids did awesome and it just shows that the kit is simple enough for a 3rd grader and a great birthday idea or for summer boredom time :)  Here's a video on how to assemble the project.  Maybe you'd like to join Paper Pumpkin or come to my next class.  If you aren't on my invite list, let me know.

Spring Cleaning

Sorry for the absence.  I joke that summer is really my school year b/c my kids take all the energy I have every day.  The school year is my summer.  So, I'm extra busy and getting to the blog just isn't happening.  But, kids are asleep and my husband is OOT for the week.  I'm doing some catch up!

I already have several samples using new products to share, but I just have to clean out my photo file before I can start sharing those.  So, hang with me this week as I share projects I didn't get to share with you during the spring.

Supplies:
Paper: Vtine DSP from Spring catty, Basic Gray, Whisper White
Tools: Big Shot, alphabet die set, hearts a flutter framelits
Accessories: dimensionals, basic rhinestones

Have you tried MDS yet?

I hope that seeing some of the projects I have made using MDS has inspired you to want to try it for yourself.  I took advantage of a free download called Packed for you.  #134687

Packed For You Designer Template -- Digital Download

One of the benefits of MDS is you can print right from home.  I don't have a top of the line printer, but I was very happy with the final product.  I added a little Velcro to keep the flap closed.

Don't forget about the 30-day free trial, but the software is only $20!  Here are the latest downloads.  Click here to get more details about these digital images

Seriously?

Have you been playing around with the idea that you'd like to see what this Paper Pumpkin is all about?  Even as a demonstrator, I get really excited when my box arrives each month.  These projects are so simple that they are appropriate for all ages.  I'm doing a kids' class using them.  This is similar to the All Dolled Up Kit I shared with you earlier.  You can do exactly what the kit tells you, or you can use it as a spring board to create more intricate cards.  Up to you.  This is a great gift for a granddaughter during summer break or even an elderly mother who needs something simple to keep her mind fresh.

This is advertised as a monthly subscription, but you can put it on hold for a month or quit anytime.   Go here to read more about it.  https://mypaperpumpkin.com?demoid=82337

Here is the try it kit.  You can order from me anytime just to see if you like it before you subscribe.

All Dolled Up in several ways

I had my Kit class a few weeks ago and each lady got to choose which kit they wanted to make.  It was fun to see several different kinds being made.  My mom and I were really drawn to the All Dolled Up Kit.  Right up our alley.  You get 6 cards with this kit and I'll show you all the different variations I did.  You can keep it simple or go all out.  The kit provides you with the foundation to make whatever you want.

All Dolled Up Kit $15.95 (item 133913)

We're excited to introduce our second Submit a Project kit--the Dolled-Up Birthday Kit--voted on by you via our Facebook page. This gorgeous birthday card was created by Chris Gilmore, a manager from Coshocton, Ohio. Congratulations, Chris!

The Dolled-Up Birthday kit includes the following:
  • Dolled-Up Birthday Photopolymer Stamp (1)
  • 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" Crumb Cake Cardstock (6 pieces)

Empty canisters??

I am, by definition, opposite of a hoarder.  I throw everything away and am the first person to get rid of retired products.  But, when it comes to the empty accessory canisters, I have a plethora!  I am so happy I found the perfect use for them from another awesome stamper.

I love this adorable treat pop and it was so quick to make with our punches.  And, as you can see, totally irresistible to small children!

Supplies:
Paper: Island Indigo, White, Mosaic DSP
Tools: 2-1/2", 1-3/4" and 1" circle punches, large scallop punch, crop-a-dile, hot glue gun
Accessories: pool party bakers twine, silver button (retired), pool party seam binding, cello bag, glue dots, lollipop stick

For the stick, just use the crop-a-dile to poke a hole through the plastic of the canister.  Then I filled the hole with hot glue and stuck the stick in.  I held it just long enough for it to set and then let it dry propped up on something.  You can fill this with any candy you'd like.  I never show the candy you can put in my treat projects b/c I'll eat the whole bag...:)

I loved being able to make this cute gift for the secretary at school.  She was happy someone thought about her.  Can't hurt being on the good side of the secretary :)

Of course I forgot to take a picture at home so sorry about the Car shots :)

One of the main reasons we do this is to make others happy.  I was so glad I could do that with this really easy kit. I plan on ordering more of these for future needs :)
