Well, the time has come.  My little girl is turning 1 next month!  When I was looking for themes for her party, I spotted the only obvious choice!!!  OWLS!!!!

I found this great package, knowing I had the best punch to make the invites!!  This is very similar to another owl card I did a while ago.  Had to throw in blue eyes for my baby girl!

Ink: Early Espresso (ink and marker)
Ribbon: 1/8" pink ribbon
Tools: Big Shot, Circle cutters, scallop circle die, number die, modern label punch, scallop oval punch, owl punch, Bird Punch (leaves)
Accessories: rhinestones, dimensionals, gluedots

Whoooo loves you!

Happy Tuesday again!  This week I am highlighting our adorable Owl Punch.  Again, I'm not a huge fan of owls, but once I saw what people had come up with, I of course, had to have it.  Here is the first card for this week. I cased this from Michelle Scileppi.

Aren't those the cutest little guys you have ever seen?  I think so!  I'm a BIG fan of punch art and this punch comes with all the pieces to make the whole owl.  You don't have to think at all.  The secret to punch art is shading.  I use a sponge dauber on every piece of paper that is punched out.  It adds a lot of dimension.  I rarely make a card these days that doesn't have sponging on it.  Get some sponge daubers 12 for $10.95 and start adding dimension to your punch art.  Check out my video tutorial from Monday to show you how to make some of the elements on this card.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: none (greeting hand written)
Paper: Early Espresso, bashful blue, old olive, crumb cake, whisper white, more mustard (beak), riding hood red, cherry cobbler, basic black
Ink: always artichoke (shade on leaves) early espresso pad and marker (coloring stems), white craft ink for clouds
Accessories: sponge daubers
