Unexpected Appreciation!

My downline has really exploded in the last 2 months and I am so appreciative!  I feel like after 9.5 years, my business is really starting to grow!  This month I hit $100,000 in career sales.  I did a private pat on the back and resumed business as usual.  Then I was checking some reports and saw a reward bonus deposited into my checking account!  $1000!!!!  I thought I was going to faint!  I didn't even know about that so it made my day!  It's just like putting your winter coat on for the first time and finding a $20 bill in the pocket!!  Except this was $1000!!!  Thank you SU!  I know most of the demos I follow get that kind of money all the time, but finally I was rewarded for my efforts and I am psyched!!!  So, I just wanted to share that mostly with my downline to let them know to keep working hard and your efforts will be rewarded!  I have put my time in for sure!  My husband would agree.   Well, onto what I really wanted to share with you :)

Are you intrigued by this new photopolymer stuff?  It is by far the best kind of stamp we sell. If I could trade all my stamps for this kind, I would in a heartbeat.  They are awesome!  You'll notice we don't have any photopolymer stamps in our main catalog.  SU! doesn't want to saturate our inventory until they find out if they will sell.  So, we will come out with new ones periodically.  I read this on the SU! blog:

Change is Good!
Much like in fashion and home décor, trends in paper crafting are changing all of the time. We often see trends from one area cross over into the other.
I am excited to see change! As creative artists, we tend to craft in our own unique style, but at the same time, we can also be inspired by current trends. By using new and fresh products, we are constantly growing as artists. I love paper crafting and I love following the current trends. Change is good and new products are good!

I share that with you b/c the photopolymer stamps are quite different than any others we sell.  I challenge you to try this new addition to our product line.  If you'd like to try it, we have an online class you can download.  You can check it out here.  I purchased this bundle and made lots of beautiful, yet out of my usual box, cards.

Try it out!!

More Photopolymer

I will admit that I wasn't blown away with the actual stamps in the Designer Typeset Stamp Set.  But, how many times have you heard me say that and then I see something that another artist did and my mind was immediately changed?  More often than I'd like to admit :)  Here's another one..

Designer Typeset Photopolymer Set

Like I've said before, I love change especially when it is taking something I love and making it even better.  I was excited to have my club try out our new photopolymer stamp set.  Everyone has their opinion about clear stamps.  Many say they've been using them for years and they're ok.  Well, as I've told you before, SU! doesn't do things like everyone else does.  Sometimes that means coming out with a product several years after another company b/c the quality doesn't stand up to SU!'s standards.  I appreciate that about them.  I'm happy to say that everyone in club seemed to love the photopolymer stamps.  Here is the card I had them make using these stamps.

Supplies:
Stamp Set: Designer Typeset
Paper: White, Island Indigo, Crumb Cake
Ink: Crumb Cake, Island Indigo
Accessories: dimensionals, indigo island baker's twine, silver buttons

I didn't want to make a fancy shmancy card.  I wanted them to focus on how these stamps felt to them.  Here are a few reasons I love this type better than wood or our current clear stamps.

1.  It sticks to the block better than anything.  You can put the smallest stamp on a clear block and rub it hard on a cleaning cloth and it won't pop off.  You literally have to peel it off the block.

2.  You barely have to tap the stamp on our ink pads.  You can see the ink filling the spaces.  You don't have to question whether your image is fully inked or not.

3.  When you use our current clear stamps, if you ink too hard or stamp too hard, you will get that ring around the stamp ink mark on your paper.  Nothing more frustrating for the new stamper who hasn't figured out the right pressure to use on the ink and the paper.  These stamps are so strong that you can rock them back and forth and not get that ring.  The image is the crispest yet.

4.  No need for the stamp-a-majig.  Because the material is clear, you can see exactly where you are stamping.

I am sad to say there aren't any photopolymer sets in the new catalog.  I called concern b/c I am so in love with them.  Because SU! is just getting the feel for how people are reacting to them, they are being careful.  The Designer Typeset and the Bombs Away Birthday sets are the only ones available right now, but I got the impression they will release a few at a time while they feel everyone out!

So, DO take my word for it....try these out!!
