Ok, back to our regularly scheduled programming! I do love Mojo Mondays b/c it really gives me a chance to be creative! I am going back to my week of Strength and Hope. Remember this is a sneak peek and SU! donates $2 from each set to the cancer research! Here is the Mojo sketch again.
I normally pick the circle cards, but when there is a strip going up and down, I just can't get it look like I want. So...I went square today! Also, I played around with some colors that I don't normally choose, so you may not love the colors...I'm not sure I do, but this is what cha get today :)
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Strength and Hope
Paper: River Rock, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Paisley Petals DSP (available til the end of this month)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, River Rock
Ribbon: 1/4" white grosgrain colored with river rock marker
Tools: Circle Cutters, Punch Pack, 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" circle punches, Scallop Ribbon border punch
Accessories: pearls, dimensionals
Here is a VERY quick video on a technique called rock 'n roll. You can see this on the lower butterfly :) It's a good technique to use on large stamps.

I found this great package, knowing I had the best punch to make the invites!! This is very similar to another owl card I did a while ago. Had to throw in blue eyes for my baby girl!

Strength and Hope
As part of our Making a Difference program, Stampin' Up! is proud to partner with The Breast Cancer Research Foundation in the Strength & Hope Campaign. Throughout the 2011 Summer Mini Catalog sales period starting May 1st, Stampin' Up! will donate $2 from the sale of each Strength & Hope set and Strength & Hope digital kit to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF). Be looking for your Summer Mini in the mail any day now, ask me for your very own copy or check my blog on the 1st to see it for yourself. I will be showing several cards this week made with this beautiful set! I imagine we all know at least 1 person who is fighting this disease and these people need cards more than anyone. For more information about BCRF,
I am combining Mojo Monday with this new set.
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Strength and Hope Set (avail May 1st)
Paper: Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy, Whisper White
Ink: Not Quite Navy, Baja Breeze, versamark pad
Ribbon: 5/8" organza ribbon
Tools: Dotted Ribbon Scallop Punch, heat tool, eyelet border punch, powder pal, 2.5" circle punch, jewelry tag punch, sponge dauber
Accessories: clear embossing powder, pearls, dimensionals
Here is what I would have done a tuesday tutorial on today. Can you see the cool frame I put in the middle? Cut a 3x3" piece of cardstock and take your dotted scallop ribbon border punch and just punch in the middle of each side. You can't see all of it in the picture, but try it for yourself. It's a really neat accent.

Well...love is in the air for all those gals getting married this summer! This week I hope to inspire you to make them a very special card instead of picking one up at the grocery store. You know...I haven't bought a card in a store in over 7 years....just can't get myself to do it :) Sacrilegious!
Today's card was cased from Lynn Pratt. Check her blog for a free template to make this card.

Mother's Day
Here is a fun Mother's Day card I cased from Beverly J Robertson. This is the last card we made at my Spring Card Class.
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Blessed Mother
Paper: Perfect Plum, Whisper White
Ink: Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant, Daffodil Delight
Ribbon: 5/8" old olive grosgrain
Tools: Big Shot, Framed Tulip Embossing Folder, decorative label punch, medium oval punch
Accessories: rhinestones, dimensionals
Card Tips:
- Use your markers to color directly on the flower stamp to get all 3 colors on it.
- Stamp off the old olive large flower stamp. That means, ink it up, stamp it on a scrap piece and then without reinking, stamp again. This gives it a slightly softer feel.

Layers of Cupcakes "in color"
Here is a card cased right from our catalog on page 130. I got the Itty Bitty Bits set for free during Sale-A-Bration. I imagine that was one of the sets b/c they are going to retire it. Can't say for sure, but if you love this set, I'd say get it soon :) It also coordinates with our Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack. So fun! This was another card we did last night at my Spring Card Camp.
Supplies:
Stamp Set: Itty Bitty Bits, A Word For You
Paper: Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Poppy Parade
Ink: (All in IN COLOR inks) Blushing Bride, Poppy Parade, Peach Parfait, Concord Crush, Pear Pizzazz, Chocolate Chip
Tools: Big Shot, top note die, dotted scallop ribbon border punch, flower and circle punch from itty bitty punch pack,
Ribbon: 1/4" whisper white, Pear Pizzazz 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon
Accessories: pearls, dimensionals, hand cut pedestal
Card Tips:
- When using the ribbon scallop punch, punch a strip and then cut down the middle
- When stamping the greeting, use a marker to color one word, stamp it on one side of the pedestal, clean stamp, color the other half of the greeting and stamp it. Since we are using clear acrylic blocks now, the placement is much easier.
- use tweezers to slide pearls off sheet to put on flower
- Use marker to color words on sentiment stamp and then hand cut them out with scissors and glue onto card.
- Cut dimensionals into fourths.
- Start at the bottom and work your way up the cake.

Spring is Blossoming Promotion!!
It's Friday and I am so excited to be able to share the images of our new Four Frames Stamp Set and Petals Paisley DSP with you! Here is the 4th card in my series of Four Frames!! I cased this card from Dayanna Donng.
I thought this was so delicate for a new baby card. I also liked her idea of embossing 2 layers of paper. The blushing bride hearts are punch out and then glued onto the paper then put through the big shot. It almost looks like they have been stamped on the white paper. Also, our medium oval punch fits perfectly in this space so you can add any sentiment without error :) I know I already did a tutorial this week, but I have to quickly show you how I colored this ribbon!
